One of her most famous cases involved the use of DNA evidence for the first ever overturn of a death sentence in the Mississippi Appellate Court. This landmark case was featured on the television show 60 Minutes. In 2008, her client received a full acquittal, one of the first such results in U.S. history
Ms. Jourdan began her career as a corporate defense attorney in New Orleans. She later opened a private practice in Columbus, Mississippi, though her services have been brought to bear in challenging cases throughout the country. She currently practices law in the state, federal and appellate levels.
Ms. Jourdan is an expert in the complexities of forensic evidence and is well versed in the latest technologies. She is well known for the extremely effective effective defense strategies she has employed both in and out of the court room on behalf of her clients.
