Wade Skalsky is a graduate of George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. During his tenure at law school Mr. Skalsky was awarded a prestigious internship at the United States Department of Justice, working in the appellate section of the Civil Rights Division.
Mr. Skalsky comes to us after ten years of practice experience, including a three year term at the City of Phoenix’s prosecutor’s office where he was chosen to attend the Justice Department’s National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina, where he engaged in intensive trial training and tactics two years in a row. Mr. Skalsky’s experience in the prosecutors’ office provides him with priceless insight into the strategies and methods employed by the prosecution. This valuable insight into the methods that the prosecution employs makes him a powerful defense attorney, working on our side.
After a successful career as a prosecutor, he transitioned to defending clients in complex criminal cases, using the myriad of skills that he had already picked over the course of his career. He has been recognized as a stalwart defender of his client’s rights in multiple states and prides himself on his reputation for his aggressive representation of his clients. His clients all praise his ability to communicate clearly to them and to breakdown the criminal process so clients feel comfortable with him and understand exactly what to expect during the criminal process.
Most recently, Mr. Skalsky received a dismissal of a case for a client facing jail time for making terrorist threats. After a six month negotiation with the prosecution, Mr. Skalsky was able to get the charge dismissed and the client was able to resume his life free from worry of prosecution. He also represented a client faced with prison time and lifelong sex registration for allegedly annoying and molesting a child under the age of 14. Mr. Skalsky was able to get the charge reduced to a violation and the client did not have to register as a sex offender and served no jail time.
